KPRG 89.3 FM/Isla Public Media is the sole public radio station serving the U.S. territories of Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. As a member of the National Public Radio network, it delivers trusted, independent journalism to island communities across the Western Pacific.
As News Director, Naina built and now leads the first regional public radio newsroom serving both territories. She developed the station's editorial strategy, set coverage priorities, and oversee daily newscasts and long-form reporting across digital and broadcast platforms. In addition to regularly reporting, producing, writing scripts and editing, Naina also supervises and mentors a team of two reporters, produces original journalism focused on the Asia Pacific, and is guiding the station's evolution into a leading regional news source.

As a producer, Naina worked across Morning Edition, Up First, and the Culture Desk for national coverage on breaking news and cultural stories. On NPR's flagship morning shows, Naina pitched and produced daily segments, wrote and edited program copy, and produced live and pre-recorded interviews. At the Culture Desk, Naina produced features and digital stories focused on identity, diaspora and representation. Her work helped shape how millions engage with the news and cultural narratives on NPR each day.

Naina produced live national conversations on politics and culture for WAMU and NPR's 1A. She pitched stories, booked guests, prepped host, and wrote scripts that brought inclusive perspectives to public radio's airwaves.
Feet in 2 Worlds is a nonprofit newsroom dedicated to telling the stories of today's immigrants. Naina reported and produced a long-form narrative podcast episode for the second season of A Better Life?, exploring how COVID-19 has impacted the idea of the 'American Dream'.
Naina led, mentored and edited the student audio team for AAJA's flagship newsroom program, VOICES. She guided emerging, early-career journalists in crafting public radio stories on AAPI issues with editorial rigor and creative sound design.
